GLENDORA : Computer Expert Gets 30-Year Molestation Term
- Share via
A Glendora man was sentenced Monday to 30 years in state prison after he pleaded no contest in Pomona Superior Court to 26 child molestation charges.
The charges arose after computer whiz Ed Scott, 49, was arrested Jan. 11 in his Glendora trailer home, where he kept a bank of computers, hundreds of videos and boxes of child pornography. Scott used the computers to lure teen-age victims and collect child pornography, police said. In addition, police located four boys who said they were molested at age 13 by Scott.
Although police believe Scott erased the pornographic images in his computers, hundreds of pornographic photos and numerous videos remained as evidence, Deputy Dist. Atty. Jim Belna said.
Scott, who had been held in county jail in lieu of $1 million bail pending sentencing, could be paroled after a hearing in 15 years, Belna said.
