LAKEWOOD — The Grant Beckstrand Cancer Foundation has awarded a $2,000 grant to the Greater Lakewood Community Hospice for training volunteers.
Some of the training may be provided at Volunteer Day, a seminar Saturday sponsored by Hospice Volunteer Managers Assn. Additional training may also be made available to volunteers already working with the hospice.
The hospice provides care and comfort to the terminally ill and their families, as well as bereavement support to children and their care-givers. Information: Pat Hunter, (310) 633-0677.
