“Time to Grow,” a telecourse series offered by Coastline Community College, recently received an Emmy award from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
The Emmy honors Coastline executive producer Leslie Purdy, series producer David P. Stone, coordinating producer Harry Ratner and field producers Wendy Anson and Paula Kessler for excellence in the Best Instructional Series category.
“Time to Grow” is part of Coastline’s television-based course in child development. The production has received other awards, including the New York Festival’s Bronze Medal for television programming and promotion.
Coastline’s telecourses, which combine video and print components used under an instructor’s direction but without classroom instruction, are produced in cooperation with KOCE-TV, Orange County’s public television station in Huntington Beach.
