Foreign Investment Rules May Be Eased: The government may make it easier to invest in other countries, with the exception of China, according to Economic Minister Chiang Pin-kung. He said that under a proposal his ministry is drafting, Taiwanese citizens would no longer need Investment Commission approval to make overseas investments. Instead, he said, they would need only to report the amounts invested through the Central Bank.
