Exports Rise on Factory Supplies: Soaring sales to mainland China in May helped boost Taiwan’s exports 14.4% to a monthly record of $7.98 billion, the government said. Exports to Hong Kong, the conduit of Taiwan’s commerce with the mainland, surged 32% in the month to $1.81 billion, fueled by demand for materials and parts for Taiwanese-owned factories.
