BellSouth, Atlanta Newspaper Study Computer Ads: BellSouth Corp. and Atlanta-based media group Cox Enterprises are near agreement on forming a joint venture to deliver Yellow Pages information and newspaper classified advertising by telephone and computer, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. The newspaper, owned by Cox, said such a partnership between major U.S. telephone and newspaper companies would be unprecedented and could become a model for similar deals around the nation. Officials of BellSouth and Cox could not be reached for comment.
