Chief Williams Should Stay Home
My wife and I attended our first Neighborhood Watch meeting last night, which was conducted by an officer from the Van Nuys police division.
The first piece of information handed out was a map of our area with black dots indicating crimes reported from April 18 to May 18. Crime is everywhere, and we were told all the frustrating things we already know: Police are understaffed, there are not enough cars, there is no money, et cetera.
So I ask: Why is Willie Williams, our new chief of police (whose salary is being paid by our tax dollars) on a commission to investigate Waco, Tex.? Why isn’t he investigating full-time in Los Angeles? Willie Williams should investigate outside Los Angeles after every black dot is cleared up in his own back yard.
