Tracy Hanson of San Jose State took the individual lead with a three-under-par 70, and host Georgia had a one-shot lead in the team competition after the opening round of the NCAA women’s golf championships at Athens, Ga.
Hanson was one shot better than teammate Vibveke Stensrud and Wendy Ward of Arizona State.
