Maxwell’s restaurant and nightclub in Huntington Beach is suspending its jazz concerts on Monday to begin a renovation tied in with the city’s downtown redevelopment project. Plans include a leveling of the present property, next to the Huntington Beach pier, and the construction of a new building on or near the present site.
