Obie, Obie, Obie: David Drake, who just brought his solo show “The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me” to the Tiffany Theatre in Los Angeles, is among 13 winners of Obie Awards for performance. Jose Rivera, whose “Marisol” was produced at La Jolla Playhouse last year, won a writing Obie. The Obies, sponsored by the Village Voice newspaper, recognize achievement in New York’s Off- and Off-Off Broadway theater.
