Packard Bell, a Chatsworth-based manufacturer of personal computers, said it has established a European headquarters in the Netherlands to handle manufacturing, distribution and service for its products throughout Europe.
The headquarters is a 75,000-square-foot facility that employs 250 people, including 50 full-time service technicians who provide customer support in more than 12 languages. Packard Bell entered the European market in 1991 and now distributes its products through 1,500 retail outlets in 13 European countries. Last year the company said it generated about $100 million in revenue in Europe, about 10% of its worldwide sales.
