Sony Unit Acquires British Electronics Firm: Sony Electronic Publishing Co., a unit of Sony Corp., said it has bought British computer and video game software developer and publisher Psygnosis Ltd. Financial details were not released. Psygnosis will continue to market and distribute computer software under its own brand, the company said, as well as develop software for Sony Electronic’s video game division. Sony Electronic said the acquisition coincides with its entry into the European market.
