Rohrabacher Looking Out for Constituents’ Interests at AFB
- Share via
* It was with great concern that I read the article “Rohrabacher in Hot Water Over Desert Base” (May 3). Dear me, what terrible information about Congressman Dana Rohrabacher (R-Huntington Beach) had the intrepid investigative staff of the Los Angeles Times uncovered that warranted the lead story of the Orange County Section, and with a full color picture no less.
In reading the whole story, I found the essence of the matter was that the plans of some developers in the Mojave Desert for a small airport were upset in favor of other developers’ interests in a larger airport at the George Air Force Base, which was closed last December.
It seems that Dana had helped the ones from Orange County, which made Rep. Jerry Lewis (R-Redlands) and others in Victorville unhappy. Wow! Hot stuff.
If this is the worst that The Times could dig up about Dana Rohrabacher, he must be one of the squeakiest clean members of Congress.
