Cal Lutheran Finishes 14th in Division II Golf

Jim Williams finished with a final-round 76 Friday to lead the Cal Lutheran men’s golf team to a 14th-place finish at the NCAA Division II championships at the Torrey Pines South Course in La Jolla.
Cal Lutheran finished with a 72-hole total of 1,271. The host school, UC San Diego, won the title with 1,190. Ohio Wesleyan was second at 1,202.
Williams was the low individual for Cal Lutheran. His 308 total put him in a four-way tie for 25th. Ryan Jenkins of Methodist (N.C.) was first at 294.
