Robby Gordon’s initial effort to qualify for his first Indianapolis 500 ended before it started last Saturday when he hit a wall and severely damaged his car.
But Gordon, a 24-year-old rookie from Orange, still has this weekend to drive the “four good laps” that will land him in the world’s most prestigious auto race. And he has the best of teachers--Indy legend A.J. Foyt. Story, photos, C1, C12.
