PORT HUENEME : City Council OKs Taping of Meetings
- Share via
Two weeks after a fight over Port Hueneme Councilwoman Toni Young’s effort to have council meetings broadcast, the board has voted to allow the videotaping of the meetings.
The council’s vote Wednesday came after Councilman Dorill B. Wright blasted Young’s “unilateral” efforts to put the meetings on local cable TV.
The accord, adopted by the council 4 to 0, outlines where the camera will be positioned in council chambers and attempts to ensure that the filming is of professional quality.
Young said she will work to develop an agreement with Jones Intercable to videotape the meetings.
Wright was absent Wednesday night.
