CANYON COUNTRY — Stephen Maul was caught with his pants down.
The 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary Friday after leading Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies on a brief--but memorable--chase at a mobile home park about 9:45 a.m.
He was wearing two bras, pantyhose and a black skirt, all apparently stolen, deputies said.
Maul of Canyon Country allegedly entered three mobile homes at the Parklane mobile home park on 20401 Soledad Canyon Road and stole several items of women’s underwear, Sgt. Richard Lichten said.
Maul took off running when he saw deputies who were investigating the break-ins, Lichten said. Two of the victims were home during the burglaries, but did not realize that Maul was in the mobile homes with them, he said.
The victims positively identified the recovered underwear, Lichten said. The value of the stolen lingerie is not known.
Santa Clarita sheriff’s detectives are continuing the investigation.
