Times Mirror to Buy Publishing Units: Times Mirror Co. said it has agreed to acquire the assets of two subsidiaries of Coast Community News Inc. for an undisclosed price. The subsidiaries publish the Daily Pilot, which serves Costa Mesa and Newport Beach; the Glendale News Press, Burbank Leader and Foothill Leader, which serve the San Gabriel Valley, and the Huntington Beach Independent. Times Mirror is a diversified media company that publishes the Los Angeles Times.
