Ventura County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of burglars who broke into two stores in Thousand Oaks between April 30 and May 5.
Sometime during that period, burglars pried open the doors of vacant businesses next door to Kidz Stuff and Loans R Us in the 600 to 700 block of Thousand Oaks Boulevard, police said.
The burglars punched through the walls connecting the stores and removed property from each establishment, police said. Missing merchandise includes hand-held police scanners, an answering machine and a laptop computer in a brown canvas bag, police said.
Anyone with information should call 494-TALK from east Ventura County, 987-TALK from Camarillo, or 986-TALK from Port Hueneme. Serial numbers on the missing items are available. Callers may remain anonymous.
