Lippman, ‘Action News’
I was appalled by Howard Rosenberg’s column “Will KCBS Gain After Lippman?” (May 3). I can’t believe that a respectable newspaper would allow such a personal attack to be made on someone. As a Jew, I am particularly offended by the reference to Josef Mengele.
After reading John Lippman’s side (“Lippman Says He Is a ‘Scapegoat,’ ” May 3), I can see that the problem he had with his staff was that he had to cut bloated salaries.
I like the “Action News” format and the live helicopter reports. I resent the fact that Rosenberg thinks he can tell me what I should watch on the news. And I resent the fact that Rosenberg is allowed to use his position as a critic to hound a man from his job.
