Beverly Hills : Concert Aids Relief Efforts

A city-sponsored gospel music concert Saturday raised about $34,000 for needy residents of South-Central Los Angeles.
The two-hour concert by the 200-voice Faithful Central Baptist Church Choir drew 1,400 people to the Beverly Hills High School Auditorium, city spokesman Fred Cunningham said. The choir performed at a similar event last October.
The two concerts have raised about $81,000, Cunningham said.
