The Tribune Co. is contesting in a U.S. District Court in Chicago the legality of the new $750-million, four-year contract giving NBC the rights to air NBA games.
Tribune, parent company of superstation WGN-TV, claims the new contract, which was announced April 28, violates antitrust rules because it limits superstations from carrying NBA games.
