LOS ANGELES : Bradley Plans Library to House His Memorabilia
- Share via
Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley, who leaves office June 30, will follow in the tradition of other retiring politicians and create a library to hold his memorabilia spanning the last 20 years.
A fund-raising dinner--complete with Hollywood stars and business heavyweights--will be held tonight by the Tom Bradley Library Foundation at the Century Plaza Hotel. Rather than constructing a building--like the local libraries honoring former Presidents Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon--Bradley’s library will more likely be part of an existing facility.
Along with performances by singer Dionne Warwick, actress Whoopi Goldberg and composer Burt Bacharach, the dinner will feature videotaped remarks from President Clinton.
