CSULB Hires Media Relations Assistant

LONG BEACH — Scott Cathcart, 38, has been hired as assistant athletic director for media relations at Cal State Long Beach.
Cathcart was media director for nine years for the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section in Cerritos, which governs high school sports.
At Cal State Long Beach, he will direct up to four sports and oversee the sports information and marketing departments.
He replaces Becca Wohlt, who resigned in January to become an assistant sports information director at UCLA.
