Rowe helped Wilson High of Long Beach clinch part of the Moore League team title. In the league championship meet at Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool, Rowe won the 200-yard individual medley and the 100-yard butterfly. She also helped set records in the 200-yard medley relay (1:54:19) and the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:42:80). Wilson tied with cross-town rival Poly High for the championship, the 17th year the Bruins have won or shared the title.
Other top prep performers:
* Sam Lam, a Lakewood High senior badminton player, won the Moore League individual championship by defeating Beth Huynh of Millikan, 2-1.
* Andrea Anderson, a sophomore sprinter for Poly High of Long Beach, won four events in the Moore League championship track meet. She helped the 400-meter and 1,600-meter relay teams to victory, and also finished first in the 100-meter and 200-meter sprints.
