The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies between May 3 and 9:
Glendale
Brittany Lane, 3800 block--Thieves entered an unlocked building in a new housing tract and stole tools and a stereo, valued together at $920, on May 4 or 5.
Sycamore Avenue, 2900 block--After forcing a kitchen door open, thieves stole jewelry, valued at $2,550, at 8:30 a.m. May 5.
Glendale Avenue and Glenoaks Boulevard--A gunman swerved his car into a passing vehicle’s path, then fired a shot into the second car’s fender at 7:15 p.m. May 5.
Geneva Street, 900 block--Thieves pried open a window to enter a private residence and steal jewelry, cameras and video equipment, valued together at more than $875, between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. May 6.
Linden Avenue, 1100 block--Entering through an open bedroom window, thieves took jewelry of unknown value between 8 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. May 6.
Colorado and Orange streets--Thieves stole tools valued at $590 from an open construction site between 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. May 6.
Rock Glen Avenue, 1400 block--After prying off a screen, thieves entered through an open window and stole jewelry and a camera, valued together at $3,690, between 3 and 5:30 a.m. May 7.
North Central Avenue, 800 block--Thieves waited until a gas station attendant was occupied with other customers to steal a cash drawer with $200, then pointed a gun at the attendant and fled at 9 p.m. May 7.
East Windsor Road, 500 block--A thief pushed a Finnish tourist to the ground and stole a video camera and bag, valued together at $2,100, at 10:10 p.m. May 7.
West Milford Street, 400 block--Vandals pried open a door lock at an elementary school and ransacked the cafeteria May 7 or 8.
San Fernando Road, 5300 block--Thieves threw a large rock through the window of a liquor store and stole a case of watches, valued at $500, at 4:50 a.m. May 9.
Lake Street and Thompson Avenue--Gunshots were fired from a passing vehicle at a gang member as he left his car, missing him, at 8:39 p.m. May 9.
La Crescenta
Rosemont Avenue, 4700 block--Thieves broke a window and pried open exterior doors at a middle school to steal computer equipment, valued at $1,140, on May 3 or 4.
Atwater Village
Los Feliz Boulevard, 3100 block--A thief entered a bar and stole $272 at gunpoint at 8:20 p.m. May 5.
Fletcher Drive, 2400 block--Brandishing a gun, a thief ordered customers at a fast-food restaurant to lie on the floor while he stole an unknown amount of money from a cash register at 11:10 p.m. May 6.
Eagle Rock
Colorado Boulevard, 4600 block--Thieves opened a shed door and stole tools, valued at $1,000, in a theft discovered May 3.
Eagle Rock Boulevard, 4800 block--Thieves forced open a window in a private school and stole telephone and electronic equipment, valued together at $1,700, on May 2 or 3.
Norwalk Avenue and Yosemite Drive--After driving behind a woman walking on a sidewalk, a thief emerged from the car and grabbed the woman’s purse, containing credit cards, at 6 a.m. May 3.
Hazelwood Avenue and York Boulevard--Thieves took dogs, valued together at $600, from a parking facility between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. May 3.
Ridgeview Drive, 2400 block--Awakened by a barking dog, a man confronted a thief with a handgun and was locked in a bathroom. The thief escaped with jewelry and other property, valued together at $41, at 11 a.m. May 4.
Eagle Rock Boulevard, 4500 block--A thief stole $350 at gunpoint from a mini-market at 8:50 p.m. May 5.
Wawona Street, 4300 block--After prying open a window, thieves stole cash and camera equipment, valued together at $46,540, from a private residence between 8 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. May 7.
Eagle Vista Drive, 1300 block--Thieves stole guns and telephone equipment, valued together at $2,150, from a private residence between 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. May 8.
Ellenwood Drive, 4400 block--Cash and camera equipment, valued together at $6,165, were stolen from a private residence between 11 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. May 8.
North Figueroa Street, 7400 block--After smashing a window, thieves stole computer equipment, valued at $4,500, from a college between 6 and 6:15 a.m. May 9.
Echo Park
Scott Avenue and Waterloo Street--A thief claiming to have a gun stole a purse, cash and jewelry, valued together at $330, at 7:05 a.m. May 4.
Elysian Park Avenue, 1200 block--Entering through an unlocked door, thieves stole jewelry and video equipment, valued together at $1,713, from a private residence between noon and 12:40 p.m. May 4.
Elysian Park Drive, 1000 block--Thieves took a cellular phone, valued at $900, from a woman’s purse at Dodger Stadium at 7:35 p.m. May 4.
Westerly Terrace, 1500 block--Thieves brandished what appeared to be a gun and put it to a woman’s neck to steal her car at 7:50 p.m. May 4.
Academy Road, 900 block--Thieves took camera equipment, valued at $1,200, from a park between 2 and 2:15 p.m. May 6.
Centennial and College streets--Thieves stole a purse with $135 at gunpoint at 11:45 a.m. May 7.
West Sunset Boulevard, 1300 block--Using either a shim or pass key, thieves entered a motel room and stole luggage and telephone equipment, valued together at $1,100, between 7 and 9 p.m. May 7.
Boulevard and Everett Street--Gang members who started a fight with a man stuck a gun in the man’s mouth and stole cash and jewelry, valued together at $885, at 1:45 a.m. May 8.
Glendale Boulevard and Montana Street--A thief walking behind a woman grabbed her purse, containing $126, and knocked her down at 6:40 a.m. May 8.
West Sunset Boulevard, 1100 block--Thieves with a gun stole a car and $25 from the car’s owner in a parking facility at 10:05 p.m. May 8.
Highland Park
Eunice Avenue, 6300 block--Thieves removed louvers from a window to enter and steal camera and video equipment, valued together at $2,500, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. May 4.
Crestwood Way, 6100 block--After cutting locks on a private residence, thieves stole tools, valued at $2,000, on May 5 or 6.
Los Feliz
Virgil and Fountain avenues--Thieves brandishing what appeared to be a gun, forced a man to drive several blocks in his car before removing the man’s pants, credit cards and cash, then taking the car, valued together at $5,555, at 3:45 a.m. May 4.
Fountain Avenue, 4700 block--A thief cut the lock on a storage-space door and stole a radio and other property, valued together at $3,200, between 10:35 a.m. and 4 p.m. May 4.
North Vermont Avenue, 1100 block--Pointing a gun, a thief stole $800 from a restaurant at 11:20 p.m. May 4.
Normandie and Franklin avenues--Thieves rear-ended a car, took $335 and credit cards from the car’s driver, then stole the car at 11:30 p.m. May 5.
North Vermont Avenue, 1100 block--Possibly using a pass key, a thief entered a motel room and stole video and camera equipment, valued together at $2,800, between 10 a.m. and 6:50 p.m. May 6.
North Vermont Avenue, 1300 block--A thief with a gun jumped over the counter at a fast-food restaurant and stole $496 at 6:25 p.m. May 7.
Mt. Washington
North Figueroa Street, 4000 block--After posing as a customer two hours earlier, a thief returned to a bar with a bandanna over his face and a gun and stole credit cards and $389 at 10:15 p.m. May 3.
West Avenue 37, 300 block--Thieves entered through a bedroom window and stole appliances and a radio, valued together at $4,350, in a theft discovered May 4.
San Rafael Avenue, 4800 block--Thieves with a knife stole cash and jewelry, valued together at $2,870, from a man at 8:10 p.m. May 4.
Silver Lake
Ripple Street, 1800 block--Ordering a man out of his car, a thief with a handgun stole the car at 2 a.m. May 7.
Micheltorena Street, 1400 block--While one thief pointed a gun at a man, another removed the man’s wallet and $60, then punched him, at 12:30 a.m. May 8.
Hyperion Avenue, 2500 block--A thief with a gun entered a bar and ordered everyone onto the floor, then fled with an unknown amount of money at 12:20 a.m. May 9.
