Welcome Tenant: Excitement builds over any new tenant in Orange County these days. It’s an even bigger deal when the newcomer is a manufacturer.
Word got out that Revere Transducers, one of the world’s largest makers of load cells for large vehicles, was exploring a move of its headquarters from Cerritos to 100,000 square feet of research and development space in Irvine or Tustin. Brokers have been calling ever since.
The company first thought of moving out of state, but “it all made sense to stay right here,” one executive said. “If we moved out, we would lose many of our employees. That’s our greatest resource.”
The company, with 200 workers, is thinking of consolidating three offices in Cerritos and another in Connecticut at an Orange County location. The new site would be slightly larger than the others combined. A final agreement could be signed in the next few weeks.
