Nation IN BRIEF : OHIO : 3 Killed, 9 Injured When Boat Explodes

A motorboat exploded near a riverfront restaurant outside Cleveland, throwing two people into the water, witnesses and fire officials said. At least three people were killed and nine were injured. Three off-duty firefighters, on the restaurant patio when the explosion occurred, pulled a baby from the boat just before it exploded into flames. The boat was docked in front of Shooters Restaurant on the Cuyahoga River with at least five people aboard. A restaurant official said the 30-foot motorboat blew up after a man started the engine. The bodies of a man and woman were recovered in the river, and the body of another woman was found under the dock.
