THE WINNER IS: A special program known as “the screening room” at the Cinemapolis theaters in Anaheim brought manager Sherry Gartley, above, this year’s customer service award from the National Assn. of Theater Owners. . . . One program featured a talk by Kathy Bates before a screening of “Fried Green Tomatoes,” in which Bates starred. Another program presented women from the baseball league whose stories became the basis for the movie “A League of Their Own.”
