Two San Fernando Valley women have been arrested in connection with the killing of a bar patron in Sylmar, police have announced.
Hildeliza Vega of Sylmar and Laura Hernandez of North Hollywood were arrested Thursday night in connection with their alleged involvement in the April 21 shooting death of Gabino Gonzales at the Rancho Cafe, 12953 San Fernando Road, Lt. Richard Meraz said.
The two women fled the bar after they got into a violent dispute with Gonzales, 37, of Sylmar about 7:30 that night, Meraz said.
They returned 10 minutes later with a handgun, stood in the entrance of the bar and one of the women shot Gonzales in the torso, police said.
Hernandez was arrested at her workplace in North Hollywood and Vega was arrested at her home, police said.
