CAMARILLO : Health District Seeks Board Applications
- Share via
The Camarillo Health Care District is accepting applications from residents interested in filling the board seat that was left vacant by the recent death of board member Jim Jeffers.
District Administrator Jane Rozanski said the board is accepting applications until at least the middle of this month, with the intention of appointing a new trustee at its May 18 meeting.
“They are looking for well-rounded, community-type people,” Rozanski said. “It would help if (applicants) had some medical experience.”
The person appointed to replace Jeffers, who died April 13 at age 61, would be expected to serve until November, 1996, finishing Jeffers’ term.
Applicants should live in Camarillo or one of the surrounding, unincorporated communities served by the taxpayer-funded health care district, which operates several health care programs for senior citizens and other area residents.
In addition to various committee meetings, applicants should be available to attend board meetings, which beginning next month will be held the first Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m.
Board members receive a $100 stipend for each board meeting.
