Culver City : School District Switch
The Los Angeles school board has delayed for two weeks a decision on whether to allow the Fox Hills section of Culver City to switch from the Los Angeles Unified School District to the Culver City district.
The matter is scheduled for a vote on May 17. Los Angeles school board member Mark Slavkin cited the need to get more input from Westchester residents, whose schools would lose students as a result of the transfer.
About a dozen Fox Hills residents attended Monday’s school board meeting to urge the board to approve the change. Several parents presented a petition with 500 signatures of Fox Hills residents who support the switch.
