Cardinal Undergoes Surgery

NEW YORK — Roman Catholic Cardinal John J. O’Connor underwent prostate surgery Wednesday in what doctors described as a routine procedure. Spokesman Joseph Zwilling said O’Connor, 73, would be in St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center of New York for the next few days.
