LANSING, Ill. — A police dog with a nose for loot found more than $5.5 million in cash stashed in a van in this Chicago suburb Friday, police said.
Prince, a shepherd trained to find drugs, was sniffing around a van parked at a motel when he alerted handlers to something suspicious.
Police found bundles of money inside wrapped in duct tape; four men were arrested.
Officers found no drugs but planned to make a more thorough search of the vehicle. The men were not immediately charged.
