Women in Film

It’s no wonder films like “Indecent Proposal” make millions. They speak to the truth we know instinctively about male-female relationships.
Every organism that reproduces sexually plays the same evolved biological courting game. The man gives the woman resources. The woman gives the man children. But it’s always the woman’s choice.
The sex-for-money bargain goes beyond culture. It arouses women’s primal Cinderella fantasies. Female attraction for high-status males has had, and will continue to have, evolutionary survival power. Films that succeed in tapping into this Cinderella theme survive at the box office despite the cries of critics and the politically correct.
