NEIGHBORS: County health officials recently opened a once-a-week clinic in San Juan Capistrano to give South County residents easier access to AIDS testing. Problem is, says clinic coordinator Abe Sanchez, “it seems nobody realizes we’re here.” . . . The clinic can accommodate up to 40 people for testing on Thursdays, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. But it’s only getting about 15 people. “We give counseling as well as medical tests, because we’re really trying to encourage behavior modification,” Sanchez says. “The whole thing takes less than 30 minutes.”
