Dropped Again: Shabba Ranks’ anti-gay comments on British TV in December continue to plague him, despite his apologizing for them Tuesday after being dropped from a “Tonight Show” appearance. On Wednesday, the Grammy-winning reggae star was banned from another musical event--an April 3 charity benefit at the Pasadena Rose Bowl. Ranks was to co-headline, but organizers withdrew the invitation stating: “We cannot allow the charitable efforts of this concert event to be deterred by controversy due to the unfortunate remarks that were made and subsequently retracted by Mr. Ranks.”
