Despite your kick-in-the-face article about Vail, Colorado, I have decided not to ski this year in a state that ignores the civil rights of gays and lesbians. Instead, I will travel to Washington, April 25 to participate in the 1993 March on Washington for Gay and Lesbian Civil Rights. Since thousands of Southern Californians are expected to attend, how about a big article on the march, Washington and what events are planned? Not everyone’s idea of travel is a vapid vacation. Some of us travel to fight for our basic civil rights!
