Clinton on Higher Taxes
So much for the left-leaning press theory. Clinton hasn’t been President five days and you’re already riding him. Normally, you’d give a Republican a couple of years before resorting to articles about unkept campaign promises. By the way, Clinton hedged on the middle-class income tax cut before the election. Also, he had mentioned increased sales taxes, “sin” taxes and gasoline taxes. Are we to blame him because we, like most Americans, weren’t paying attention? Anyway, what’s a couple of unkept campaign promises? Is this something new? Face it: Like Bush, Clinton had to lie in order to get elected.
