AGOURA HILLS : Land Next to Park Transferred to City
- Share via
Land next to Reyes Adobe Park was officially transferred from the county of Los Angeles to the city of Agoura Hills on Tuesday.
The park and an adjacent 1.36-acre parcel were given to the county by a developer in 1978. The main portion of the park was turned over to the city after its 1982 incorporation, but the county maintained title over the land next door, located north off of Rainbow Crest Drive.
The Board of Supervisors’ unanimous action Tuesday ensures that the county cannot be held responsible for any future problems at or maintenance of the park. It also requires that the city continue to operate all of the park as a public park and recreation area.
