AST Appoints Vice President for Worldwide Product Services

Donald R. Leighton has been appointed to the newly created position of vice president for worldwide product services at AST Research Inc., an Irvine computer company. Before joining AST, Leighton was Digital Equipment Corp.’s U.S. vice president and general manager for product services. During his 28-year tenure at Digital Equipment, Leighton also held other service and product-oriented positions.
