Mojave Green Snake Needs More Respect

“Playskool Rattlin’ Wrestlers for ages 3-up”--a very colorful ad (for a rattlesnake stuffed toy) in The Times on Nov. 26. In the View Section, same paper, same date, is the horrifying story of 20-month-old Ann Teichert’s ordeal with a baby rattler.
Your reporter writes that “there are the toddlers and children who are naive about the danger of rattlers.” That this “toy” got past the drawing board is incredible. It is hard to believe that our society has gone so nuts that “common sense” is no longer used.
