Verbum Dei 77, Brentwood 48--Jamal Cobbs had 18 points and Dion Jackson added 12 as Verbum Dei broke up a close game by outscoring Brentwood 24-5 in the fourth quarter. Junior guard Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the oldest son of the all-time leading NBA scorer, had six points for Brentwood.
