Reseda 30, Birmingham 29--DeWayne Johnson led the host Regents with 129 yards in 14 carries and two second-half touchdown runs in a game that had four lead changes. Teammate John Buckley caught two passes for 89 yards and a touchdown and led the defense with eight tackles and two sacks as a linebacker. Birmingham’s Sam Larios gained 168 yards in 10 carries, including a 75-yard touchdown run, and Paul Holt ran for two touchdowns.
Birmingham had a chance to win with two seconds remaining but Tony Serpas’ 33-yard field-goal attempt was wide.
