San Diego State Athletic Director Fred Miller, saying he wants to leave the school while the athletic department is on an upswing, confirmed that he is accepting the state of California’s early retirement program, effective immediately, but he will remain at the school as athletic director and be paid by the San Diego State University Foundation.
