SANTA ANA — The Orange County coroner’s office is asking the public’s help in locating the family of a teen-ager who killed himself Monday.
Deputy Coroner William King said authorities have failed in all routine efforts to locate relatives and friends of the young man, who identified himself to police as Julio Argeta Petrillo before jumping to his death from a 60-foot power pole in the back yard of 2818 N. Ross St.
King said the man was about 17 years old, 6-3 and weighed 122 pounds. At the time of his death he was wearing khaki pants, a T-shirt depicting a sailboat with the slogan “California--Surf Fetish,” black high-top sneakers and gray socks with a red stripe.
Before jumping the young man told police that he was depressed and that he had family in Santa Ana, King said. Anyone with information should call the coroner’s office at (714) 647-7410.
