COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Golden West Women Extend Streak to 36

Two-time defending State champion Golden West won its 36 consecutive match, defeating Cuesta in nonconference women’s volleyball Tuesday at Golden West.
Heather Slaherty had 12 kills for the Rustlers (2-0) in the 15-10, 15-10, 15-8 victory. Erin Breeze had nine kills for Cuesta (0-1).
In another nonconference volleyball match:
Fullerton 3, Mt. San Antonio 2--Fullerton had 17 aces in the 13-15, 15-13, 15-12, 1-15, 15-13 victory.
In nonconference men’s soccer:
Irvine Valley 2, Santa Monica 2--Keith Rosenberg and Guiseppe Lombardo scored for host Irvine Valley (2-1-1).
Rancho Santiago 10, Fullerton 8--Freshman Jeremy Yorba scored five goals for Rancho Santiago (4-0). Mark Allman had six goals for Fullerton (2-2).
