Channel Islands 26, Rio Mesa 12--Senior tailback Salvador Lopez scored three touchdowns, including a 91-yard kickoff return to start the second half, as the host Raiders scored all of their points in the second half.

Raider quarterback Mike Mariz completed 10 of 22 for 156 yards. He completed his last six, including a 30-yard touchdown pass to Joshua Babuta.

Spartan quarterback Donald DiDomizio was three of 10 for 34 yards, but he rushed for 192 yards in 18 carries. DiDomizio opened the scoring with a 71-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and added a 40-yard score in the third.
