Nordhoff 10, Fillmore 7--Sean Leach kicked a 20-yard field with 5:58 left in the third quarter to break a 7-7 tie at Nordhoff. Leach’s field goal came 11 plays after teammate Justin Hart recovered a fumble at the Fillmore 38.
Nordhoff had taken a 7-0 lead in the first quarter when tight end Mike York scrambled 41 yards after catching a screen pass from quarterback Steve Saum.
Fillmore tied the score with 37 seconds left in the half on Felix Zuniga’s two-yard plunge.
