LETTERHEADS: One Hundred Years of Great Design by Leslie Cabarga (Chronicle Books: $16.95, illustrated, paperback original). Cabarga has assembled an extraordinary collection of stationary from American individuals and corporations. The decorations range from stolid Victorian engravings of factories to elegantly minimal Art Deco typography. Although the clumsily written text is minimal and none too informative, this handsome book will please and inspire graphic artists, printers and illustrators.
